Join the Khatm: A Night of Mercy and Barakah

Join the Khatm: A Night of Mercy and Barakah

Many masjids are now completing their Khatm al-Qur’an as we enter the final nights of Ramadan. This is a spiritually significant moment—don’t miss it. Try to join your local masjid’s khatam, even if you weren’t able to attend every night. The barakah and duʿa of this gathering are immense.

📖 The Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them) honored the completion of the Qur’an with deep reverence.

It was reported that they would gather their families and make special duʿa at the time of khatam, recognizing it as a moment of acceptance.

Ibn Kathir said: “The salaf (pious predecessors) would gather after completing the Qur’an and say: ‘Rahmah (mercy) descends at the completion of the Qur’an.’”

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The duʿa at the completion of the Qur’an is accepted.”

📚 (Reported by al-Dārami and others – although the chain is weak, scholars acted upon its meaning due to the virtue of the moment)

So whether you’re finishing the Quran alone or attending a masjid’s khatam, be present, make heartfelt duʿa, and seek Allah’s mercy in these final blessed nights. The time is short, but the reward is immense.
