Reality of Death

Reality of Death

Death is the only certainty in life, yet it is the most neglected reality. Many live as if they will never leave this world, becoming absorbed in material pursuits. Allah reminds us: “Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction.” (Surah An-Nisa 4:78)

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) frequently reminded his companions to reflect on death, a powerful motivator for righteous living. He said: “Remember often the destroyer of pleasures: death.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)
